In short: Your practice data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. The only data that leaves your device is text you choose to send to the AI feature.

Important: When you use AI features, verse text and your reflection are sent to Google's Gemini API. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Data

Personalization: Onboarding choices determine verse and plan recommendations
Progress tracking: All calculated locally on your device
AI features: Text sent to Google Gemini only when you actively tap an AI feature
Notifications: Local iOS notifications only; no push server

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, selling, or AI training.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. The only transmission is to Google Gemini API when you use AI features. No personal identifiers are included.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

To delete all your data: Delete the MingDao app from your device. All locally stored data is permanently removed.

6. Your Rights

All Users

Access: All data is on your device
Deletion: Delete the app or clear data in iOS Settings
Opt-out of AI: Don't use AI features; no data is sent

EU Users (GDPR)

Legal basis: consent (AI features) and legitimate interest (functionality). You may contact us for data portability or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

California Users (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

8. Security

Data is protected by iOS built-in security (device passcode, Face ID, hardware encryption). AI calls use HTTPS/TLS. We operate no servers that store your data.

9. International Transfers

AI feature text may be processed on Google servers outside your country. No other international transfers occur.

10. Changes

We will update this policy when data practices change. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice.
